A Provincial Orientation on the Peace and Order Council (POC) Performance Audit was conducted by the DILG Bulacan via zoom platform on February 17, 2022.
During the activity, the Provincial, City, and Municipal POCs and their respective secretariats were oriented on DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2022-13 including the updated indicators and, on their duties, and functions as members of sub-national POCs.
Because the said audit has been deferred last 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the Provincial Audit Team will be assessing the 2019 and 2021 documents of the POCs this year.
This audit aims to assess the performance of the Regional, Provincial, City, and Municipal POCs on their functions in ensuring peace and order and public safety in its fight against criminality, illegal drugs, insurgency, and violent extremism. It also aims to identify innovations, interventions, improvement strategies, and creation of a platform for evaluation, assessment, and sharing of best practices between and amongst POCs and POC Secretaries in the Province of Bulacan.
