In time for the love month, DILG Pampanga launched Kapehan Express for an energy-charged afternoon focused on strengthening the organization by cultivating connections that transcend paperwork and deadlines.

 Kapehan Express takes off from DILG Pampanga's original kapehan activity in 2018, which was simply meant to provide field officers and provincial office personnel with a venue where they can "unload" the daily work pressure over a cup of coffee.

This year's theme "???????????????????????????? ????????' ????????!", a kapampangan expression which means 'tuloy po kayo' and invites one to enlighten the home with their warmth and presence.

The launch was marked by a simple ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a "salo-salo" of coffee, sweets and stories. The activity underscores DILG Pampanga's sustained initiatives to introduce strategies and interventions that promote the well-being and mental health of its personnel and create opportunities for organizational growth amidst the pandemic.

But more than a lounge, Kapehan Express also provides a platform for the team where they can share ideas and best practices, introduce innovations, and take part in discussions that would ultimately help the organization thrive and meet its targets.

In her message, PD Myrvi Fabia expressed her happiness to finally have a space at the Provincial Office that the team can call its own. She said that kapehan has been part of the DILG Pampanga tradition, a concept unique to the organization that remains relevant to this day.

"Patuloy natin pahalagahan ang isa't-isa at sa ginta ng mga pagsubok at pressures ng trabaho ay huway nating kalimutan to live, laugh and love. Ang lahat ay welcome dito sa kapehan lounge. Para sa atin ito," said PD Fabia.

In the future, Kapehan Express is eyed to be an extension of DILG Pampanga's LGRC facility as the organization intensifies its efforts to strengthen convergence and linkage with both internal and external stakeholders of the department.
