Olongapo City takes part in the National Women's Month Celebration with the theme, "We Make Change Work for Women," also dubbed as #WomenMakeChange, by organizing related activities for the entire March.

Prior to the National Women's Month, the City Women and Children's Protection Council (CWCPC) held meetings on February 8 and 28 in preparation for the month-long celebration.

OC will be conducting the following events to celebrate NWM: Kick Off Parade; Public Service Programs such as free medical/dental mission and self-breast examination, free haircut, manicure and pedicure, seated massage and reflexology, mobile birth registration, PHILHEALTH Registration, Pap smear, and legal assistance; Symposium on the Different Laws Protecting Women and Children, Gender Sensitivity Training for City Government employees, Philippine National Police and Department of Education; Buntis party, Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Symposium for barangays; Men Opposed to Violence Everywhere (MOVE) Orientation; and Search for the City's Natatanging Kababaihan.
The NWMC aims to inform and engage women as stakeholders of government programs and services to promote citizen-centric governance and make "change" a conscious effort to know, understand, and provide what ALL citizens need; create and facilitate platforms to discuss good practices, gaps, challenges, and commitments in pursuing gender and development (GAD) to strengthen implementation of the Magna Carta of Women; and inspire and empower women and girls to be agents of change to contribute in promoting gender equality and empowerment of all women.
Consistent with Proclamation No. 227 s. 1988, the annual conduct of the NWMC aims to give due recognition to the contributions of women in the society.
