The Regional Poverty Reduction Team (RPRAT) in Central Luzon will conduct the Local Poverty Reduction Action Teams (LPRATs) Orientation from November 17-19, 2015; 9am-5pm at Clark Field, Pampanga. The whole day activity will be participated by 1,300 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Local Government Units (LGUs) representatives from 130 LGUs in Region III.
The objective of the activity is to orient the participants on the implementing guidelines of the Bottom-up Budgeting (BuB) Program for F.Y. 2017 on the formulation of anti-poverty programs and projects in the respective localities.
In Central Luzon, the participating National Government Agencies have implemented a total of 680 anti-poverty reduction projects in 2014 and 1,197 in 2015 spread out in 130 cities and municipalities in Region III. The LGUs and CSOs thru the LPRATs take an active role in the formulation and implementation of the anti-poverty programs and projects. The Bottom-up Budgeting (BuB) is a commitment of the national government to make the national budget more transparent, accountable and responsive to the needs of the communities.
