Angeles City - The DILG Angeles City, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation-Angeles City Chapter and Education Development Center (EDC) set off a partnership on February 7, 2022 to supplement the programs of the City Government for the out-of-school youth (OSY).
DILG City Director Martin Porres B. Moral, SK Fed. Pres Arnoah Prince G. Mandani and EDC Youth Development Officer Lovenjay Ramos held a collaboration meeting to discuss the youth engagement activities under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Opportunity 2.0 program to provide second-chance education and other opportunities to the OSY in Angeles City.
Ways forward, the concerned agencies agreed to schedule a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their association and conduct a consultation assembly with all the SK Chairpersons of Angeles City to mobilize youth groups.
The partnership aims to facilitate the co-creation and co-designing of planned activities for OSY, and form more youth leaders who will support in building pathways for youth engagement in 2022. 330 OSYs are expected to benefit from the said initiative.
