DILG Region 3 spearheads the conduct of a Seminar on Local Legislation for Development entitled: PROPEL for the BEST that stands for Preparing and Revving- up Local Officials to Prime Effective Local Legislation towards Business-Friendly and Competitive LGUs; Environment-Protective, Climate Change Adaptive and Disaster Resilient LGUs; Socially-Protective and Safe LGUs; and Transparent, Accountable, Participative and Effective Local Governance on April 26-28, 2017 at Subic Travelers Hotel, SBFZ.

This 3-day activity is a capacity building program for City/Municipal Vice-Mayors, and Sangguniang Panlungsod/Bayan Members of the cities and municipalities in Region 3 to increase/refresh their knowledge on effective legislation wherein the following topics were discussed: Parliamentary Rules and Procedures; Local Legislation Cycle; Local Legislative Review Process; Administrative Investigation Procedure; and Common Pitfalls and Cases Affecting Local Legislators.
