A consultation meeting was held last April 22, 2015 in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija attended by the selected members of the Regional Peace and Order Council Technical Working (RPOC-TWG) headed by the DILG Region III to particularly discuss the draft guidelines relative to statistical reporting of crime incidents.
This initiative stemmed from the concerns raised on the accuracy of the presented crime statistics during one of the RPOC meetings where Governor Aurelio M. Umali, Chairman of the RPOC III, tasked the Technical Working Group to come-up with a manual that will serve as a guideline to all concerned in crime incidents reporting and counting. The manual/guidelines hope to set a clear standard and procedures which can be easily adopted at the barangay level.
In his message, Provincial Director Abraham Pascua of the DILG Nueva Ecija reiterated the main objective, has stressed the importance of the said endeavor and requested the participation of everyone for its successful completion.
Provincial Administrator of Nueva Ecija, Alejandro R. Abesamis, who welcomed the group on behalf of Chairman Umali, also participated in the activity.
