In consonance with the Medium-Term Information and Communications Technology Harmonization Initiative (MITHI) approved and ISSP funded ICT Projects for 2022 under LAN, WAN and IP Telephony and LGU Information Management Program (LGUIMP), the Information Systems and Technology Management Service (ISTMS) conducted an on-site Regional Maintenance of deployed ICT Resources and Database Decentralization at the DILG Regional Office 3, Government Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on November 8-10, 2022. Its main objective is to ensure ICT resources' uptime and resilience and provide database tool to the region in performing data quality checking.
Regional Director Anthony Nuyda, during the courtesy call of the ISTMS team, expressed his full support to the activity wherein he requested the assistance of the Regional Information and Communication Technology Unit (RICTU) personnel towards its successful completion.
ISTMS personnel composed of ADAS III Efren Ramos, Network Security Specialist William Dumangeng, Jr. and Information System Analyst (ISA) Kalvin Gervacio led the regional maintenance of deployed ICT resources in the region which included evaluation and assessment of the Server Roomphysical security, building facilities, ICT infrastructure and the Disaster Recovery (DR) site. ISA Gervacio also oriented RICTU personnel on the Data Quality (DQ) Checking Process particularly in determining and fixing data quality issues. This is in preparation for the implementation of DB explode as a data cleansing tool for the regional databases from the different Information Systems under the DILG intranet to be deployed by ISTMS to the regional office.
It is hoped that through this process, data quality and availability that will be published in the Department's Executive Information System (EIS) will be assured.
