The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region III, in partnership with the Regional Sub-Committee for the Welfare of Children, conducted the Regional Orientation on the 2022 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) using the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Knowledge Management System (SCFLG KMS) on October 20, 2022 via Zoom Platform.
During the activity, DILG R3 Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda gave emphasis on the value of the LGUs' contribution in safeguarding the rights of the children thru the CFLGA.
"We at the DILG value your dedication and hard work in contributing to our country's commitment to build a child-sensitive and child-friendly society. I pray that more LGUs pass this year's CFLGA, not merely for the prestige of the award, but more importantly, to safeguard the rights and welfare of our children." Atty. Nuyda said.
After the regional orientation, the audit proper is set to commence on November 8, 2022 and is expected to conclude on March 30, 2023 while the CWC Board's timeline for the approval and conferment of the seal is on April 2023.
CFLGA is a results-based assessment tool and an annual mandatory audit designed to gauge the level of performance of local government units in the delivery of services that would generate positive results for the children.
