On February 16, 2022, PD Belina T. Herman participated in the Launching of Safe, Accurate, Fair and Free Elections (SAFE) 2022 held at Tarlac Police Provincial Office, Camp Gen. Francisco Macabulos, Tarlac City.
The activity aimed to implement SAFE in the 2022 National and Local Election; safeguarding all Filipinos in the exercise of their right to vote, free from danger, harassment, harm or violence from any person, political entities or parties, or enemy of the state; ensuring the election processes are properly implemented and educated in accordance with the law and election guidelines and resolution issued by the Commission on Election; warranting that every registered Filipino voter can vote for the candidate of his/her own choice, free from duress and/or intimidation and by remaining apolitical and non-partisan, giving equal treatment to political candidates and parties; and maintaining internal security with the active support of the community during the election period.
The activity was conducted through interfaith prayers, candle lighting, signing of the pledge of commitment, and releasing of doves by representatives from various Religious Sectors, Commission on Elections, Bureau of Fire Protection, PPCRV, NAMFREL, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Civil Society Organizations, and other stakeholders.
Let us all cast our votes wisely this coming 2022 National and Local Elections.
