The Project Development and Management Section (PDMS) Support to Barangay Development Program Regional Coordination Team (SBDP RCT) has actively taken part on the 3-Day Year-Starter Meeting and Workshop by the National and Regional Task Forces to End Local Communist Armed Conflict – Strategic Communications (NTF/RTF ELCAC – StratComm) Cluster.
The activity conducted on January 13, 2022 was aimed at presenting the accomplishments of all regions in expanding grassroot participation and eliminating the infestation of the communist terrorist groups in the past year. It also aimed to provide seminar on formulating Barangay Development Plan (BDP) Communications Plan. To further appreciate the workshop, the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTG) Propaganda Machinery and its effect on public opinion and perception was discussed.
The collective inputs from the workshop and meeting successfully led to the finalization of the Information Campaign Plan 2022.
Said activity was participated in by Regional Strategic Communication Cluster Members, Regional Situational Awareness and Knowledge Management Cluster Members, Regional Department of Interior and Local Government Officials and Officers, and Presidential Communications Operations Office – ICOC Content, Strategic, and Production Team.
As mentioned by NTF ELCAC Spokesperson Undersecretary Lorraine Marie T. Badoy on her opening remarks, the communist rebellion in the Philippines is an information warfare and through the collaborative efforts of all the agencies and organizations involved, the government is being able to silence the communist terrorist groups. She assured the body that although there are still a lot of works to do, we will win the warfare.
