DILG R3, in collaboration with the Bureau of Local Government Development and the Anti-Red Tape Authority conducted an Online Roll-Out on the Repeal of Policies for Local Government Units (LGUs) on November 10, 2020 via Zoom Cloud Meetings.
The main objective of the activity is to orient the Local Government Units on the DILG-ARTA JMC No. 2019-01 entitled "Guidelines on the Regulatory Reform for LGUs Pursuant to the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery (EODB-EGSD) Act of 2018" and how to operationalize the Regulatory Reform Information System.
In her opening message, Regional Director Julie J. Daquioag emphasized the importance of adapting and learning new things in the "new normal" through the modernization of the systems in order to deliver the best service to the clients.
Likewise, ARD Jay E. Timbreza mentioned in his closing remarks that he is looking forward that this system will open up avenues for faster transactions in the local government units. He also encouraged the LGUs that the Department will always be in full support in their journey towards development.
Highlights of the said activity were the orientation on Concepts and Methodology of Regulatory Reform for LGUs, the overview of the Philippine Business Regulations Information System and the walkthrough on the Regulatory Reform for LGUs Information System (RR4LGUsIS)
In attendance are the Local Sanggunian Members, Secretary of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan/Bayan, Local Treasurer; Local Record Officer, Local Administrator; and Legal Officer/Admin Staff from various LGUs of Central Luzon.
