The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region III, thru the Project Development and Management Section (PDMS), spearheaded a Seminar-Workshop on the Monitoring and Evaluation of Horizontal Structures on June 4-5, 2018 at Maharajah Hotel, Angeles City.
The 2-day activity was participated in by DILG Provincial Community Development Officers, Regional Program Officers, and Provincial Engineers. Speakers were invited from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 3 wherein they have shared their expertise on planning, designing, evaluating and maintaining road and bridge projects. Preparation of Program of Works and Approved Budget Contract was also discussed. Likewise, consultations were conducted and participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and clarifications after every presentation.
Further, the activity successfully served as an avenue to enhance the participants' knowledge and skills on the design, plans, specifications, and construction of projects in accordance with the National Government Standards and within the range of costs of materials, labor, equipment, etc. and project duration of similar projects being implemented by a National Government Agency (NGA) within a locality.
